2007 May « Things the Realtor/Seller/Buyer didn’t tell you

How’d this get started?

4 months of trying to publish a real estate magazine about Realtors, great idea, terrible leadership from corporate, left me with about 6,000 realtor business cards and a whopping cell phone bill.

Reflecting on my experiences since joining my first .com employer back in 1998, it didn’t take long to figure out that direct mail and glossy reprints aren’t leading edge of commerce these days. duh…

Spent several weeks pondering electronic approaches to a revenue stream based in real estate info, and conversations with most of my living friends,,, decided to grab a name (suggested Michele), spend my last $995 on GoDaddy for a registration, and get started.

Don’t expect much till next week Wednesday… Today is supposed to be my homebody-get-things-done-here day, with only one newsletter to produce today. Tomorrow is djembe drumming at MayFest in Allentown, and Monday is prepping for email marketing seminar I’m hosting on Tuesday…

Watch for things to be included such as: consumer blog space, realtor blog space, links to informative resources for home buyers, links to other people we deem credible in the industry, and eventually, local content.
